AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley School Board will hear an update about its high school facilities project at Monday’s meeting.

On Thursday, Superintendent Blaine Conley said Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation is currently rebidding out the project. Members of Fanning Howey will update the Board on the bidding project.

On April 12, TVSC received 15 bids for 10 bid categories for the Tippecanoe Valley High School renovations and addition project. In a special meeting April 15, the Board rejected all bids.

In other business Monday, the Board will:

• Approve a $100,000 2023 Indiana Secured School Safety Grant.

Lori Tilden-Geiger, director of marketing, public relations and grant writing, will talk about the grant on Monday. Conley said every year, the school corporation has been able to get the grant, which he thinks is four years.

• Approve a $2,500 grant to the Burket Educational Center from an anonymous resident.

The grant will be at teacher Micah Lukens’ discretion to use to benefit the students at Burket Educational Center. Conley said he believes the anonymous resident is a Burket graduate.

• Have a 2023 budget hearing.
