Homestead at Warsaw
Warsaw boys soccer got back to its winning ways Wednesday night, defeating Homestead 5-1 in a nonconference contest at home. The Tigers are now 11-1-1 this season.
Mydin Burgher had two goals for Warsaw in the game. Other scorers were Noah VanPuffelan, Eduardo Escutia and Roberto Sanchez. The Tigers are back in action next Thursday at Goshen.
Columbia City at Wawasee
Wawasee dropped its second match in a row Wednesday, falling 3-0 at home to Columbia City. The Warriors are now 6-4-1 this fall.
Weston McClintin made seven saves for Wawasee. The Warriors take on Goshen Tuesday afternoon.
Rochester at Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley won its third game in a row in an offensive explosion Wednesday evening, defeating its rivals from Rochester 8-2 at home. The Vikings are now 6-3 this season, 2-3 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Five different players scored goals for Valley, led by Jonathan Ruiz, who scored three. Christian Ramirez had two goals, and Gio Arriaga, Andres Rojas and Eric Eikenberry all added one. Rojas also notched two assists. Ty Jones made three saves in one half of play, with the only goal he allowed coming on a penalty kick.
Tippecanoe Valley plays at the Husky Invite this Saturday.
