She was born in Rochester on Oct. 5, 1939, the daughter of the late Lee M. and Zorah Ross Sharpe, and graduated from Rochester High School with the Class of ’57.
After graduation, Annette was employed by the First Federal Bank of Rochester as a bank teller. On July 6, 1958, Annette married Omer Lee “Skip” Kindig, also of Rochester, who survives after 63 years of marriage. The couple moved to Warsaw 55 years ago. Omer retired from Da-Lite Screen Co. after 33 years with the company and Annette retired from Warsaw Community School System after 32 years there. Annette was a member of the Herscherettes Home Economics Club, Tri Kappa Sorority, Warsaw United Methodist Church and attended Atwood Otterbein Methodist Church. She loved painting and travelling and cherished the time spent with family and friends, searching out lighthouses, camping and going on cruises.
In addition to her husband, Annette is also survived by their daughter, Karen Smith who, with husband Tim, resides in Greenville, Ohio; and grandson, Zach Beck, of Akron.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, 620 N. 3rd St., Rochester, with Pastor Josh Welker of EUM Church in Greenville, Ohio, officiating. Arrangements are through McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
