WINONA LAKE - On Wednesday night, Grace's men's soccer team fought No. 7 Indiana Tech to a 0-0 draw at 1st Source Bank Field.

Despite the no decision, the Lancers seemed to be the aggressors throughout the match out-shooting the highly ranked Warriors 11-4.

Grace was also without the defending NAIA Defensive Player of the Week, Matteo Conci. Diego Campos made the start in his stead.

From the opening kickoff Grace did not appear to be intimidated by their top 10 foe. The Lancers gained possession of the ball early and had a trio of corner kick opportunities.

Indiana Tech was able to mount a credible counter-attack and had a chance at a set-piece just outside the box.

The ensuing kick found its way through the swarm of bodies in the box and was just inches from crossing the goal line when Nelu Calcai alertly cleared the ball and ended the Warriors' threat.

The game divulged into a attack, counter-attack style in the middle portions of the half, with neither team able to grasp the upper hand.

Martim Sequeira subbed into the game with 24 minutes left before the period break and immediately made his presence felt.

The senior made a pair of signature runs on goal which resulted in two shots that narrowly missed the goal-mouth.

In the waning seconds of the half, Juan Camilo Garcia tried a long shot on goal that seemed to tie the Indiana Tech keeper up, but he was able to corral the ball as time expired, sending the game to break at zero all.

Grace entered the 2nd half seemingly energized by the boisterous crowd that packed 1st Source bank Field.

The Lancers dominated the time of possession during the opening minutes as a curling shot from Diogo Lopes forced a diving save from the Warriors' keeper.

Sequeira had another dangerous attempt on goal in the 2nd half, but he was just beaten to a loose ball in front of the goal line by Indiana Tech's goalie.

Grace continued to pressure with intensity and consistency as the Warriors were put on their heels by the Lancers.

Daniel Santos Rosa made a pair of fantastic runs on the Warriors' goal as he dribbled through numerous defenders, but could not find the attempt that would push Grace ahead.

Indiana Tech's final legitimate chance on goal came with 17 minutes left. A seemingly harmless crossing pass bounced around the penalty dot, before a sprawling Campos smothered the ball.

Grace maintained possession for the remainder of the game but was unable to find the game-winner as the game closed at a 0-0 draw.

Sequeira led all players with five shots, and Campos saved both shots he faced in his Lancer debut.

Grace will return to action this weekend for a pair of contests in Baldwin City, Kansas. The Lancers will play Baker at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, and then No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan at 12 p.m. on Monday.
