Football

Maconaquah at Tippecanoe Valley

Tippecanoe Valley remains undefeated after beating Maconaquah 57-14 Friday night. The Vikings are now 7-0, 6-0 in the Three Rivers Conference.

Wade Jones and Nate Parker were a two-headed monster in the backfield for Valley, rushing for 138 and 136 yards. Parker finished his night with four touchdowns. Landon Durkes caught a 54-yard touchdown pass.

The Vikings are at home Friday at Wabash.

Boys Tennis

Warsaw at Sectional

Warsaw had its season ended in the IHSAA Sectional 52 championship match Saturday as the team fell 3-2 to Columbia City.

The Tigers’ two wins came in the doubles competition, as the teams of Drew Ryser and Charles Norton as well as Nicholas Boren and Khareus Miller picked up wins in each of their matches. Ryser and Norton will advance to the regional individually, as well as Whitko’s David Ousley and the doubles team of Cody Smith and Annikan Pettit of Tippecanoe Valley.

Cross Country

Warsaw/Wawasee at NLC Championships

It was a very good showing for Warsaw at the Northern Lakes Conference Championships Saturday, as the girls team finished in first place and the boys team finished in second. The Wawasee boys finished in sixth. Teams will begin sectionals next weekend.

Volleyball

Warsaw at Culver Academies

Warsaw kept its winning ways going with a 3-0 (25-9), 25-22, 25-12) victory on the road at Culver Academies Saturday. The Tigers are now 19-8 this season.

Freshman Ellie Hepler had five aces to go along with 16 digs. Kaylee Weeks had 14 kills for Warsaw. The Tigers host Concord Thursday with a chance to clinch the NLC title outright.
