Interra Promotes Two Staff Members

Tiffany Watkins has been promoted to assistant vice president of compliance and fraud. Watkins will lead the credit union’s compliance, anti-money laundering/bank secrecy and fraud management programs. This supports Interra’s excellent operating standards for established risk tolerances in compliance while following the applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and regulatory guidelines.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the industry, Watkins joined Interra in 2020. Most recently she served as the assistant vice president, compliance director for the credit union. “With significant experience in account operations, I understand the importance of finding a balance between mitigating risk and providing a positive member experience,” stated Watkins. “Each member of ours has their own story, making their member journey unique to their specific needs.”
Watkins holds a Master of Science in Administration with a concentration in Leadership from Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Mich. She also holds certifications in Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist (BSACS), Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM).
Brook Germann has been promoted to assistant vice president of security and facilities. In this role, Germann is responsible for securing the assets of the credit union while also overseeing the facilities department. He leads all Interra employees in safety and security training and maintains security equipment to ensure all properties are operating correctly.
Germann has been a part of Interra since 2017. Prior to joining the credit union, he served 22 years for the Nappanee Police Department. “Interra is invested in our communities, and we take great pride in developing relationships with our members and the community at large,” stated Germann. Actively involved in the community, he serves on the Board of Directors for Child and Parent Services (CAPS) of Elkhart County. He is also a member of ASIS International, a global community of security practitioners. Germann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Public Affairs from Indiana University, South Bend.
