Etna Green Woman Arrested After Pursuit

An Etna Green woman was arrested after she didn’t comply with a law enforcement officers’ orders, hit an unoccupied vehicle and led officers on a pursuit.

According to one Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office accident report, at approximately 2:25 p.m. Tuesday, Terra A. Trytko, 44, North Walnut Street, Etna Green, was attempting to back up in 2010 Ford F/E from a parking spot at Etna Green Mini Mart to flee police. When she put the vehicle into drive, her vehicle hit an unoccupied vehicle registered to Janice Chaney, Wakarusa.

The damage estimated for that accident was estimated at $1,000 to $2,500.

According to a second accident report, KCSO officers were attempting to get Trytko to step away from her vehicle as it was reported she was armed. Trytko refused to comply with officers’ commands and left the scene.

According to the second accident report, at approximately 2:38 p.m., Trytko led officers on a pursuit traveling northbound on Ind. 19. Trytko had all four tires deflated by stop sticks.

Trytko’s vehicle then drove off to the east side of Ind. 19, just north of CR 450N, hitting a tree stump. Trytko had minor bleeding to her face.

The estimated damage for that accident was $5,000 to $10,000.

The second accident report stated Trytko was found to be intoxicated. She submitted to a certified blood draw, which was completed at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Trytko became noncompliant and was taken to Kosciusko County Jail.

Trytko was booked into the KCJ at 5:53 p.m. Tuesday for resisting a law enforcement officer using a vehicle with a preliminary bond of a $5,250.
