Warsaw Education Foundation Announces Grant Recipients

The Warsaw Education Foundation awarded Red Apple grants for the spring 2022 grant cycle.

The Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit organization established to support teachers and students in Warsaw Community Schools. These grants enhance the educational experience for Warsaw students. Over $11,000 was awarded this spring, according to a news release from WEF.

The 13 grants awarded were:

• The Amazing Human Race, Robin Coffman, Lakeview Middle School science

• Adaptive Omnikin Activities for Ultimate Participation, Jacob Crone, Madison Elementary physical education.

• Waders Refresh, Emily Gough, Warsaw Community High School science

• Visual and Hands on Learning for EL students, Karina Hoover, Eisenhower K-6/EL

• Rolling with Physics, Whitney Ousley, WCHS integrated physics

• Tuner Clips, Mark Ziegler, WCHS band

• PBL Weather Unit, April Aylor, Jefferson Elementary second grade

• Suture Practice, Rosemary Love, Warsaw Area Career Center

• "U" Can Play a Ukulele, Rebecca Crim, Madison Elementary music

• Technology Integration in the Dual Language Immersion classroom, Julian Luna, Leesburg second grade DLI

• Structured Literacy from the Start, Hilary Stouder and Catherine Cavanaugh, Lincoln Elementary Title 1

• Collecting Real World Data, Mark Riege, WCHS chemistry

• 3D Printer for Science Classes, Rachel Wallace, WCHS science
