Kathy was born April 14, 1961, in Warsaw, to Ronald and Cinda Webster Overmyer. She met Henry Goble while waitressing at the KMart cafeteria; they were married Dec. 1, 1983, sharing 38 years together, never leaving each other’s side. Henry survives.
Kathy loved Jesus. She would do her devotions every morning when she woke up and every evening before going to bed. She enjoyed listening to audio books, sewing in her younger years and enjoyed traveling to Tennessee and seeing the mountains. She loved to cook. She was the coordinator of funeral dinners at Pathway Church, where she was also their secretary. She coordinated dinners for Fellowship Missions and just loved helping and serving people. She just had a way to always make people feel welcomed and not judged. She was the rock of her family, bringing them back together after many years.
Second only to her love for Jesus was her love for her family. She cherished her children and grandchildren. Kathy’s loss leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Henry; a son, James (Calah) Goble, of Leesburg; a daughter, Elizabeth Goble, of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Joseph, David, Kayden, Bethany; and one great-grandchild, Alex. Also surviving is her sister, Kristine Kinney, of Warsaw; and her brother, Kenneth (Marie) Overmyer, of Illinois.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, William Goble.
A celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, May 27 at Pathway Church, 2402 W. Old 30, Warsaw. Pastor Jarod Osborne will officiate.
