Concord at Warsaw
WARSAW – Warsaw kept its Northern Lakes Conference title hopes alive in a big way Monday, defeating Concord in a lopsided 14-3 game. The Tigers are now 13-8, 8-5 in the NLC, one game back of first place.
Josh Shapiro got the scoring started for Warsaw in the first. He’d score three runs and drive in three more on the day. Leading 4-1 going into the bottom of the fourth, the Tigers broke the game open by scoring six in the frame. Lukas Maier added a home run in the sixth inning.
Warsaw wraps up conference play Wednesday against Mishawaka.
Wawasee at Goshen
GOSHEN – Wawaseestaged a late comeback, but was unable to finish the job, falling to conference foe Goshen 11-12 Monday. The Warriors are now 7-13, 4-9 in the NLC.
Cole Turner had two hits in three at bats for Wawasee, Grant Brooks had a massive game, hitting two home runs to drive in four runs. Maddux Everingham had three RBIs.
The Warriors host Concord Wednesday to finish NLC play.
Whitko at Manchester
NORTH MANCHESTER – Whitko picked up its first conference win of the season Monday, squeaking by Manchester for a 2-0 win. The Wildcats are now 6-13 this season, 1-6 in the Three Rivers Conference. Manchester falls to 6-14, 4-4 in the TRC.
Max Platt scored one Whitko run and drove in the other, finishing the day with a hit in three at bats and a stolen base. Tyler Veach drove in the other Whitko run. Isaiah Cripe allowed just one hit in his complete game shut out.
Whitko hosts Wabash on Wednesday, while Manchester has a home game against Tippecanoe Valley
Tippecanoe Valley at Northfield
WABASH – Tippecanoe Valley dropped a tough conference matchup on the road Monday, falling 8-5 to Northfield. The Vikings are now 4-9, 2-5 in the TRC.
Noah Prater drove in two runs for Tippy Valley, totaling two hits in four at bats. Annakin Pettit also had two hits and drove in a run. Markus Bernicky stole a base and was the third Viking with two hits.
Tippecanoe Valley travels to North Manchester to take on Manchester Wednesday.
Softball
Warsaw at Concord
ELKHART – Warsaw had a good day hitting, but struggled keeping runs off the board in a 16-11 loss to Concord Monday. The Tigers are now 3-20, 1-12 in the NLC.
Avery Sleeth had one hit, but it went for three bases and scored two runs. Sleeth would finish with three RBIS on the day. Lauren Eastwood had two hits, driving in two runs and scoring one of her own.
Warsaw hosts Leo on Wednesday.
Goshen at Wawasee
SYRACUSE – Wawasee was unable to come away with a win Monday, falling 5-2 on the road to Goshen. The Warriors are now 7-13, 4-7 in the NLC.
Down early, Wawasee scored two runs in the sixth inning, but they were not enough to even the game. Haylee Allen had a hit and a run scored.
Wawasee takes on Concord Wednesday night.
Tippecanoe Valley at Northfield
WABASH – Tippecanoe Valley answered its weekend loss in a big way, defeating conference foe Northfield 12-1. The Lady Vikings are now 16-7, 6-2 in the TRC.
It was a big day for Sydney Rhamey, who drove in four runs for Valley. Abby Bowers had three hits and drove in three runs. MacKaylie Costello struck out ten batters in her six innings of work on the mound.
Tippecanoe Valley has a road game against Manchester Wednesday.
Whitko at Manchester
NORTH MANCHESTER – Whitko showed up in a big way Monday, defeating Manchester 15-1 on the road. The Lady ‘Cats improve their record to 6-12, 3-5 in the TRC, while Manchester falls to 5-15, 2-5 in the TRC.
Seven different Whitko players registered an RBI in this one, led by Guinny Garr and Ella Walter, who both finished with three. Maddie Dafforn had two RBIs on three hits for Whitko while striking out ten on the mound.
Whitko hosts Wabash on Wednesday, while Manchester will host Tippy Valley.

Bremen at Warsaw
WARSAW – It was a quality day for a Warsaw team preparing for sectionals, as the Tigers defeated Bremen 4-1 in their final game of the season to bring their record to 11-3.
Addie Lind had a superb 6-0, 6-0 win in No. 1 singles. Sylvia Meyer had to battle in No. 2 singles, but eventually came away with a straight-set 6-0, 7-5 win.
Warsaw begins sectionals against Wawasee in Columbia City Wednesday.
Whitko at Wawasee
SYRACUSE – Whitko emerged with a road victory Monday, defeating Wawasee 3-2.
Kylie Fugett and Abbi Frank both took singles wins for Whitko, with Fugett winning 6-2, 6-2 and Frank winning 6-0, 6-1. Kiah Farrington picked up a win for Wawasee in No. 1 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.
Manchester at Southwood
WABASH – Manchester finished off its regular season with a dominant 5-0 victory over Southwood. The win gives the Lady Squires a second place finish in the TRC.
Delani Hudson was perfect in her No. 3 singles match, winning 6-0, 6-0. Sarah Kerlin was not far behind, winning her No. 1 singles match 6-0, 6-1.
