By Staff Report-

The 13th annual Blackburn Run 4 Others will take place on June 18, 2022.  The event hosts both a 5K run/walk and also a 10K run.  Race day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:30 am and the race begins at 9 am.  Registration costs $25.00 until June 5 when it increases to $32.00.

Both races begin at the Trailhouse Bike Shop in the Village at Winona.  The 5K will take place along the paved greenway while the 10K will include a mix of paved greenway and cross country running.

Proceeds from the race will benefit Water for Good, a non-profit dedicated to combating the water crisis in the Central African Republic through well drilling and well maintenance.  Last year, the money from the race helped buy a new well maintenance truck.

“I am excited about this year’s race and the impact we can have in the Central African Republic, said Doug Koontz, event organizer, Water for Good is expanding into new areas and it is fun being a part of it.”

In addition to Koontz contributions from MudLove, Miller Cattle Company, Synergy Partnerships, Barefoot Stickers, 212 Media Studio, Clearwater Car Wash, Silveus Insurance, Wildman, VerHage Heating and Cooling, Miller Sewer and Drain, LT Siding Window and Door and Fellowship Baptist Church make the race a reality.
