Baseball

Triton at LaVille

LAKEVILLE – Triton struggled to find any offense in its 16-1 loss to LaVille in five innings on Wednesday. The Trojans are now 2-16, 1-10 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference.

Jordan Kaufman scored the lone Triton run.

The Trojans are back in action Tuesday against Caston.



Softball

Marion at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley picked up a win in dominating fashion over nonconference opponent Marion Thursday. The Lady Vikings muscled out a 17-2 victory to move their record to 15-6 this spring.

Brayden Baney had another big game, scoring two runs on two hits and driving in four more. Molly Moriarty added to her school record with another home run. She would drive in two. Abby Bowers struck out nine in five innings of work for the complete game.

Tippy Valley has a road game against Jimtown Saturday.

Caston at Triton

BOURBON – Triton dropped its second straight game on Thursday, falling 11-1 to Caston at home. The Lady Trojans are now 4-13, 1-5 in the HNAC this spring.

Triton will look to get into the win column Saturday morning at Warsaw’s Lady Tiger Tournament.



Boys Golf

Warsaw/Triton at Uebele Invitational

LA PORTE – It was a great afternoon of golf for Warsaw at the 86th annual Uebele Invitational on Friday. The Tigers’ score of 308 was good enough for first place, beating out the other 21 teams. Triton finished with a 369.

Cal Hoskins led the way for Warsaw, pacing the team by shooting a 71, just one stroke shy of tying for the best individual score. Ben Brander and Aiden Bowell both shot 77s. Cole McKinney shot an 82 to lead the Trojans.



Girls Tennis

Whitko at Peru

PERU, Ind. – Whitko had its winning streak snapped by conference foe Peru Thursday, as the Lady ‘Cats fell 4-1 in their road match.

Abbi Frank was Whitko’s lone winner in No. 3 singles. Frank took a 6-4, 6-0 straight-set win.
