WCS Announces Summer 2022 Food Service Program Participation

Warsaw Community Schools announced plans to participate in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).

Free meals will be made available to all children 18 years of age and under and to persons over 18 years who are enrolled in a state-approved educational program for the mentally or physically disabled. Free meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all participants. There will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service, according to a news release from WCS.

In accordance with federal civil rights law and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) civil rights regulations and policies, the USDA, its agencies, offices and employees, and institutions participating in or administering USDA programs are prohibited from discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by the USDA.

People with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g., Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language), should contact the agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at 800-877-8339. Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

SWCS 2022 Summer Meal locations, Monday through Friday, are:

• Winona Lake Park, 1590 Park Ave., Winona Lake

June 6-July 1

July 11-July 29

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

No meals will be offered from July 4 to July 8 and on July 19.

• Bixler Park at Center Lake, 503 N. Detroit St., Warsaw

June 6-July 1

July 11-July 29

Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Lincoln Elementary School, 203 N. Lincoln St., Warsaw

June 6-24 and Aug. 3

Breakfast is served from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m.

Lunch is served from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m.

• Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, 1400 E. Smith St., Warsaw

June 6-24 and Aug. 3

Breakfast is served from 8 to 9 a.m.

Lunch is served from 12:15 to 12:30 p.m.
