Geraldine Cox, 93, of Warsaw, died Monday, May 2, 2022, at Grace Village Retirement Community in Winona Lake.

She was born in Silver Lake on Oct. 21, 1928, the daughter of the late Grover and Mary Brown Richardson.

She graduated from Silver Lake High School with the class of ’46 and on March 28, 1948, she married John Elmer Cox, who preceded her in death on April 16, 2016, after 68 years of marriage. Geraldine was a homemaker who enjoyed crochet and was devoted to her family, especially cherishing the time spent with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Geraldine was also preceded in death by two brothers, Berchel Richardson and Ernest Richardson; and a sister, Earlene Engle. She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Walker) Meredith, of Leesburg; and Sharon (Frank) Jones, of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Denise (Kevin) Breen, in Pennsylvania; Melinda (Troy) Aranda and Nicole (Gabriel) Gonzalez, both of San Antonio, Texas; Jonathan (Nicolette) Meredith, of Warsaw; and Carley (Tyler) Wetzel, of Milford; her great-grandchildren: Ireland, Khloe, Christopher, Amelia, Paul and Rayla; brother, Elby Richardson, of Evansville; and sister, Rosemary Roberts.

There are no services scheduled. Arrangements through McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Any memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice.
