BLOOMINGTON – Whitko freshman Gwen Howard continued a stellar start to her high school career this past weekend, finishing fifth in the shot put competition at the Hoosier State Relays Saturday.

Howard qualified for the state relays by placing first at the Indiana Wesleyan qualifier on March 12. Competing against athletes from all grades from small schools around the state, Howard’s throw of 39’4.75” was enough to place her on the podium.
