Church Of Brethren To Hold Supper

NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren, 7281 E. CR 600N, North Webster, will have a swiss steak supper on Saturday from 4 p.m. until food runs out.

It is drive-thru only.

The cost for adults is  $12. For age 6 to 12, cost is $6 and children under 6 are free.

The menu is swiss steak, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetables and pie.



Claypool UMC To Hold Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will hold Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Devotions are held Wednesday from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.

Pastor Nelson's sermon is "The Wayward Son.”

The Seder meal, by tickets only, is April 14 at 6 p.m.

Easter service is April 17 at 7:30 a.m.; breakfast is at 8 a.m.



Missionary From Haiti To Give Message

MENTONE – The community is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m., as Jean-Claude Pierre, a missionary from Haiti, presents the message. Join the church after the service for a carry-in lunch with the meat and drink provided. Bring a side dish.

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, Mentone UMC offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

 On Wednesday nights, the church has its Feast & Fellowship program, which includes a light meal and a time of singing, worship and studying God’s word. It is held in the fellowship hall of the church.   All middle school and high school youth are invited to enjoy the meal and worship and then break off for their own time of learning and fellowship.

There is also a women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Java Jacks.

Beaver Dam Shares Service Times

AKRON – There's a community-wide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome.  Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

Registration has begun for VBS: "Making Waves in the World with Jesus" from June 20-24. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-olds to fifth grade.  Our youth sixth through 12th grade will be helping again this year. You must preregister by June 13 at https://form.123formbuilder.com/1350476/form.

Sunday is birthday Sunday at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron. Service times are 9 and 10:31 a.m. with refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

The sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke. There is a carry-in and youth meeting after second service until 1:30 p.m. Bible study is at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, there is a junior/senior high boys Bible study from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

On Wednesday, King's Kids Supper is at 6 p.m. with music, crafts and a Bible lesson from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.  It is open to potty-trained preschool age to fifth grade. There is no King's Kids if school is not in session.

On April 2, Fusion Fest will be at Indiana Wesleyan for senior high kids only. Leaving from Akron United Methodist Church at 10:15 a.m. and goes to 7:30 p.m.

 

Gospel Concert Held In Nappanee

NAPPANEE – Southern gospel music concert with Legacy Five along with Ernie Haase and Signature Sound will be April 2 at Sammlung Platz Events Center, Nappanee.
