ABC Bridge Club

The ABC Bridge Club met at Wyndham Gardens Hotel with Karyl Smith as hostess.

Winners were Joyce Latta and Paulene Holderman.



Thursday Bridge

Thursday Bridge met at Maria’s Restaurant. Sandy Mauk was hostess.

Winners were Dorothy Herring, Elaine Tripp, Beth Huffer, Sondra Dicken and Betty Walston.



Winona Literary Club

WINONA LAKE – The Winona Literary Club met Wednesday at the Grace Village Robin Hood Community Center in Winona Lake at 1:30 p.m. The club meets ever two weeks from December through May and have been a local club since 1903.

The featured guests were Warsaw Community High School Band Director Mark Ziegler and the 22 Wind and Jazz Band Ensemble members. Judy Meulink accompanied three soloists: Margaret Bokholder on flute, Gabe Anderson on alto saxophone and Mathison Hurtle on the contra bassoon. The jazz band played “The Alligator Boogaloo” and “The Work Song.” Their next concert is March 29 at 7 p.m. at the WCHS Performing Arts Center.

The business meeting was conducted with minutes read, treasurer’s report and Paula Ibach shared a book review on “The Five Wishes of Mr. Murray McBride.” Refreshments were served by hostesses Rosemary Henning and Jean Cahill. There were 26 members and 24 guests.

The next meeting is March 30 and Courtney Jenkins will be sharing on “Hope Through?Community.” All are welcome to attend. A refreshment is served at the end so please RSVP this number if you will be attending at 54-306-2483. Current members need not RSVP.
