Sharon Wiegand-Wright, 85, of Greenwood, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at her home in Greenwood.

She was born on March 26, 1936, in Warsaw, a daughter of the late Firman and Frances Krauter Eckert.

Also surviving are stepchildren: Gary Wright, Kathy (Alan) Sandler, Greg Wright; and seven step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene Wright; one brother, one sister and a stepgrandson. She is also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends.

Sharon was a longtime employee of McGee Jewelers in Greenwood. She still loved going to work (she was 85). During that time, she encountered many people. She never knew a stranger. If perhaps you had the opportunity to know her, you also had the opportunity to have her as a friend for life.

During the warm weather she would hit as many garage sales as possible. Sharon was still very independent and active. Driving, mowing, neighboring, living and loving her best life up to the minute she passed.

She was a longtime resident of Northern Park, where many of her lifelong friendships started!! Sharon was a MeeMaw, a Grandma Shari, Grandma, Aunt Shari, Meeco and a mom. Her prized possessions were her family, and all you who are reading this. She adored and cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and her friends.

She leaves many wonderful memories for all of us who loved her, the way she always loved us.

Family and friends are invited to her Celebration of Life, Saturday, March 26 at Victory Christian Church, 1720 N. Graham Road, Franklin. Visitation will be from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. Minister Josh Cadwell will lead a memorial service after visitation time.

There will be no burial as her wishes were to be cremated, and be put back to this earth.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Victory Christian Church Missions Fund. These donations can be made at https://www.victorycc.life/give or by mail to Victory Christian Church, Mission Fund, 1720 N. Graham Road, Franklin, IN 46131.
