WINONA LAKE - For the fifth time this season, Frankie Davidson was named the Crossroads League Player of the Week.

Davidson led Grace’s men’s basketball team to the 2022 Crossroads League Tournament championship last week.

He was Grace's leading scorer as the Lancers concluded a memorable run to the tournament championship. He had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 1 blocked shot to lead the Lancers to the victory at No. 12 Marian. He drilled a stepback 3-pointer late in the game, scoring Grace's final points in a dramatic 86-85 victory.

Grace became the lowest seed (No. 5) to win the CL Tournament championship, winning three straight road games en route to claiming the automatic bid to the NAIA tournament.

As a result, the Lancers will play in the NAIA Opening Round this weekend. Grace, a No. 7 seed in the 64-team bracket, will take on No. 10 Cumberlands on Friday at 8 p.m. (Eastern time). With a win, Grace would advance to play either No. 2 Olivet Nazarene or No. 15 Lourdes on Saturday at 6 p.m. Both games will be held at ONU’s campus in Bourbonnais, Ill.

Davidson leads all players in the Crossroads League with his five Player of the Week honors. No other player from the conference has more than three awards.
