St. Anne’s Gave Donation To B.A.B.E.

St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., gave a donation of $795 in addition to requested supplies to Fellowship Missions as its outreach of the month in February.

The March outreach is for B.A.B.E (Beds and Britches, Etc.). BABE is a store for mothers to purchase items needed for their babies by using vouchers they receive from going to their doctor’s appointments, taking parenting classes and having their babies immunized, among other ways of taking care of themselves or their children. The church will collect items and monetary donations.

St. Anne's worship services are at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Sundays. The church is also offering Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 5:30 p.m. through April 8.



Sacred Heart To Hold Meal

 A curbside carry-out community meal will be offered at Sacred Heart Church, 125 N. Harrison St., Warsaw, on Tuesday from 5 to 6 p.m.

The meal this month will feature soft shell beef tacos,  chips and salsa, Spanish rice and a dessert.  This month’s dinner is provided and served by the Sacred Heart School staff and parishioners.  

There is no charge for the meal.  All in the community are welcome.

Beaver Dam Announces Service Times

AKRON – There's a men's Bible study group meeting on Saturdays at 9 a.m. at Java Jacks in Mentone. All are welcome.

On Sunday, Service times at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, are 9 and 10:31 a.m. with refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

The sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke.

An Italian-themed carry-in after second service and youth meeting will be until 1:30 p.m.

Bible study will be at 6 p.m.

The finance meeting was rescheduled due to icy roads to Monday at 6 p.m. The reschedule Wheels on Fire meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. New members are welcome

On Wednesday, the King's Kids Supper is at 6 p.m. with music, crafts and a Bible lesson from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. It is open to potty-trained preschool age through fifth grade. There is no King's Kids if school is not in session.



Herron Continues Message

MENTONE – The community is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m., as Rev. Jeff Herron continues the series, “Winning the MINDCRAFT  War: Filter and Frame.”

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m.  At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

On Wednesday nights, Mentone UMC has its Feast & Fellowship program, which includes a light meal and a time of singing, worship and studying God’s word. It is held in the fellowship hall of the church. All middle school and high school youth are invited to enjoy the meal and worship and then break off for their own time of learning and fellowship.

The church also has a women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Java Jacks.  

There will be a Lenten Bible study –  “Why Easter Matters”  beginning March 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

The youth grades eight through 12 are holding a lock-in March 18 from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m.  For any questions, contact Rebecca Stewart at 574-835-0332.
