Craig Wilson, a 2005 alumni, was a four-year starter in both soccer and basketball.  He helped lead the Cougars to ACSI State Soccer Championships all four years of high school.  His sophomore, junior and senior seasons, Craig was a member of the NACA (National Association of Christian Athletes) Soccer Championship team in Dayton, TN., and was named to the NACA All-Tournament Team his junior and senior campaigns.  In basketball, Craig was LCA’s point guard, leading the team in assists three of four seasons, and to the ACSI State Championship game three years, winning the title his final two seasons.

Jamie Duchane graduated from LCA in 2010, lettering in soccer, basketball and track, all four years of high school.  When numbers didn’t support a girls’ soccer team, Jamie started on the boys’ team her junior and senior seasons.  During her senior soccer season, she was a member of LCA’s ICST (Indiana Christian School Tournament) State Championship boys’ team and was named to the NISC (Northern Indiana Soccer Conference) All-Conference Second Team.  On the hardcourt, Jamie started on the basketball team, which advanced to the ICST Final Four her sophomore and senior seasons.  Jamie was twice recognized as Most Outstanding Female Track and Field Athlete at the NCSAA (National Christian School Athletic Association) Regional Meet, and helped lead the LCA girls’ team to the NCSAA Division 1 Championship her final season.  She is still LCA’s 100M hurdle and 300M hurdle record holder.  Jamie went on to play soccer at Huntington University, where she earned a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.

222 Majority & Senate 55 Rule
Editor, Times-Union: Whatever color the House of Representatives shift to in 2026 and future elections afterwards whether a red Republican majority or a blue Democratic majority or even a purple centrist majority. It should always command a 222 or higher majority (51.0%+ rule) in order to control that body of Congress instead of the current 218- simple majority rule. Any governing party or coalition in this chamber should have a clear solid majority in order to lead instead of a precarious edge.
