The contest is open to children aged 3 years or younger on or before July 4.
Voting will take place at the Akron Lake City Bank beginning Friday and ending July 1 at 11 a.m.
First-, second- and third-place winners will be announced on July 1 at approximately 6:15 p.m. at the Akron Community Center, 815 E. Rural St., Akron.
Entry forms can be found at the Akron Town Clerk’s Office, 206 W. Rochester St., Akron, or online at the Akron 4th of July’s Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/Akron4thOfJuly/.
Forward the entry form, $1 entry fee and two identical (non-returnable) 4-by-6 or smaller photographs by postal mail to Brittany Coughenour, 5859 W. 1400 North, North Manchester, IN 46962.
Entries may be dropped off at the Akron Town Clerk’s Office.
