Vance To Visit Trinity UMC

Ken Vance, missionary to Africa, will be with Trinity United Methodist Church, 832 E. Center St., Warsaw, in two services Sunday: in the 9 a.m. Sunday school with combined classes and again in the 10 a.m. worship service.



Church Of The Brethren To Hold Supper

NORTH WEBSTER – North Webster Church of the Brethren,  7281 E. CR 600N, North Webster, will hold a tenderloin supper from 4 to 7 p.m. June 24.

Tenderloin, home-made chips, cole slaw and desserts are available. Cost is $10. It is eat in or carry-out.



New Harvest To Have VBS

Kindergarten through fifth-graders are invited to venture with New Harvest Church, 1654 Fisher Ave., Warsaw, June 20-23 from 6 to 8 p.m. for Shipwrecked Vacation Bible school. Shipwrecked is full of Bible-learning activities, catchy songs, teamwork-building games, yummy treats  and one-of-a-kind Bible adventures.

Sacred Heart To Hold Meal

Sacred Heart Catholic Church will host its monthly Community Meal on Tuesday June 21 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or until food runs out.  Along with curbside carry-out there will be an option to eat inside as well.  This month’s menu is lasagna, green beans, fruit cup and dessert.  All are welcome. There is no charge for the meal.  This month’s meal is hosted by the Sacred Heart Youth Ministry.  Questions? Call 574-267-5842.



Herron To Have Final Service

As Pastor At Mentone UMC

MENTONE – The public is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. as Rev. Jeff Herron presents the message “Called to Serve.”  This will be Herrons’ final Sunday as pastor.  Come and wish him well.

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

There is a women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Java Jacks.  

Come and be a part of the “She Shoes” walking group.  The group meets at 8 a.m. (note the time change) on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting) at the Mentone Cemetery (by the bridge). All speeds of walkers are welcome.

Claypool UMC To?Hold Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will hold Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Social time is from 10 to 10:20 a.m.

The Claypool Festival is Saturday with breakfast at 8 a.m. and parade at 11 a.m. Claypool U.M.C will have games at the Lions park in Claypool from 1 to 3 p.m. for the children, car show and etc. things.



Beaver Dam Announces Events

AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

Sunday is Father's Day and Birthday Sunday.   A lakeside service for Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron, will be at the Beaver Dam boat launch at 8 a.m. (if raining a cancellation call will be made by 7:30 a.m.). Worship will be at 9:30 with refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 a.m.. Message by Pastor Butch Troke.

On June 20-24, vacation Bible school: “Making Waves in the World with Jesus” will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. (drop is off at 8:45 a.m.)

On June 23-26, the youth retreat will be at Yellow Creek Lake Campground.

Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, 2033 S. CR 150W, Warsaw will have a men’s barbecue from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 25.
