PLYMOUTH – It was a terrific day for the Warsaw Tigers golf team at their regional match at Swan Lake golf course in Plymouth Thursday. The Tigers shot a 298 as a team to finish in second place and advance to the state finals next week.

Warsaw’s usual ace Cal Hoskins had a great day, shooting a 73. The Tigers best score belonged to Jaxson Gould, who ha a 72. Rounding it out for Warsaw were Jack Yeager with a 75, Ben Brander with a 78 and Aiden Bowell with an 81.

Also advancing to state is Manchester’s Owen Kruschwitz. His score of 73 put him in the top five of the individuals advancing without a team. Wawasee’s Jay Finlinson shot an 86 as an individual.

Warsaw will compete in the state championship match Tuesday in Carmel.
