First Federal Savings Bank Opens Second Branch In Warsaw

Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for First Federal Savings Bank, 445 W. CR 250N, Warsaw.

Michael Zahn, president and CEO of First Federal Savings Bank, said the bank did a soft opening for the location on CR 250N within the last 30 days.

He said all the financial services the bank provides are available at the new location, whether it’s deposit accounts, mortgages or commercial lending.

“We’re a full-service community bank,” Zahn said.

There’s not a lot of services the bank doesn’t provide, whether it’s wealth management, personal banking and commercial banking, he said.

There’s between five and seven employees at the bank, with some employees working between the two Warsaw locations. He believed the bank has between 10 and 12 employees in the county.

It is the second location the bank has in Warsaw. The bank is headquartered in Huntington and has seven branches in Allen, Huntington and Kosciusko counties. The first branch out of Huntington County was in Kosciusko County. Zahn said the bank is over 100 years old and publically traded.

First Federal Savings Bank was looking to build on Warsaw’s north side and when the CR 250N location became available, it increased the bank’s footprint and allows it to serve more customers on the north side of Warsaw as it expands in Kosciusko County.

Zahn said Warsaw has been good to the bank and it has been successful “in this market and it made sense for us to expand our footprint and continue to reach more customers in Kosciusko County.”

Zahn said the second location helps people have more options in their banking in the county.

If anyone is interested in the bank’s services, Zahn said they can reach out to any of the bank’s lenders or walk into the bank and request to speak to someone.
