She was born on June 8, 1938, to Jesse and Opal Hall.
Marlene was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Pierceton at her time of death. She and her husband pastored The Church of Jesus Christ in Ingalls, for 29 years. The church and ministry were her true passion. She was never afraid to share her faith and the KJV Bible with everyone.
Her hobbies included canning, crocheting, cake decorating and ceramics. She was a Sunday school teacher and choir leader. She played the piano, organ, accordion and bass guitar, as well as sang. She traveled the country with her siblings in a gospel quartet, The Harmonairs.
Marlene was head secretary for the military right out of high school. She went on to work at Guide Lamp making automobiles, then at Vocational Rehabilitation Service as head secretary until her retirement.
Marlene is survived by her husband of 48 years, Danny D. Walls; daughter, Sheryl A. Ball; stepson, Richard D. Walls (Cindy); and stepdaughter, Sue E. Walls, as well as eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by a son, Ronnie L. Ball; both parents, two brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of life service is to be announced at a later date.
