Barbara “Barb” Joan Davis Lawless, 70, of Lady Lake, Fla., formerly of Silver Lake, passed away unexpectedly at Ocala Regional Medical Center on Thursday, June 30, 2022, due to injuries suffered in a traffic accident.

Barb was born Barbara Joan David on Jan. 29, 1952, in Silver Lake, the daughter of Harry and Donnabell Davis. She attended Warsaw Community High School and graduated in 1970.

Approximately five years ago, she and Gary moved to The Villages, Fla., where she enjoyed an active lifestyle of church choir, pickleball, beach tennis and the occasional round of golf. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of her many friends and family. She was always smiling and her laugh brought joy to those around her. She was a gift to anyone who was blessed to be called her friend.

Barb was preceded in death by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Lawless; as well as her sons: Jason (Kristin) and Brian Lawless; brother, Dewayne (Peggy) Davis; sister, Carolyn (Davis) Montel; nieces: Bridgett (Mike) Abston and Nikki (Wayne) Hall; nephews: Kevin (Janille) Montel and Shawn Davis; and two grandsons: Jack and Ben.

Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church At The Villages.
