• 7:18 p.m. Thursday - Matthew Earl Manns, 35, of 110 Warner Drive, Claypool, arrested for domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury. Bond: $6,000.

• 10:35 p.m. Thursday - Jacob Allen Wheat, 20, of 11199 N. Humpty Dumpty Drive, Cromwell, arrested for being a minor consuming alcohol and possession of marijuana/hash oil/hashish with a prior. No bond set.

• 11:19 p.m. Thursday - Marinel Lynn Gilliam, 26, of 8280 E. U.S. 30, #47, Pierceton, arrested for driving while suspended with a prior suspension. Bond: $500.

• 11:06 a.m. Friday - Thomas Ray Pickerill, 51, of 8280 E. U.S. 30, Pierceton, arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. No bond set.

• 2:03 p.m. Friday - Camera Lee Hyde, 32, of 8280 E. U.S. 30, Pierceton, arrested on a bond in a civil matter. Bond: $4,875.

• 7:05 p.m. Thursday - East CR 725S, 500 feet west of South CR 550E, Pierceton. Car hit deer. Driver: Rochelle J. Leininger, 48, South CR 550E, Pierceton. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

• 8:25 p.m. Thursday - Intersection of North Ind. 15 and Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Car-SUV collision. Drivers: Roy A. Norman, 91, East CR 250N, Warsaw; Brooke E. Deboest, 26, West Canal Street, Winona Lake. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 1:42 a.m. Friday - Ind. 13, 300 feet north of CR 200N, Pierceton. Car hit deer. Driver: Claudia L. Burrous, 23, North 3rd Trail, North Webster. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. North Webster Police Department investigated.

• 6:30 a.m. Friday - South CR 275E, 650 feet north of East CR 375S, Warsaw. SUV ht  utility pole. Driver: Lori A. Method, 55, Anchorage Road. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.

• 6:51 a.m. Friday - South CR 275E, 1,600 feet south of East Wilcox Road, Warsaw. Pickup hit deer. Driver: Daryl J. Shoemaker, 44, North Elm Street, North Manchester. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. WLPD.

• 11:05 a.m. Friday - 221 W. Main St., Warsaw. Car hit light pole. Driver: Stephen D. Watkins, 40, North Dovewood Trail, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. KCSO.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
