• 11:30 p.m. Wednesday - Michelle Renee Garcia, 48, homeless, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia with a prior, possession of a hypodermic syringe or needle and possession of a legend drug or precursor. No bond set.

• 4:26 a.m. Thursday - Jose Avila, 19, of 504 Fort Wayne St., Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery in the presence of a child less than 16. Bond: $6,000.

• 9:54 a.m. Thursday - Mark R. Hastings, 55, Fort Wayne, arrested for felony failure to appear. Bond: $750.

• 10:23 a.m. Thursday - Eric Joseph Watkins, 26, of 1824 Michael St., Warsaw, arrested on a foreign warrant. No bond listed.

• 11:01 a.m. Thursday - Kyle Leonard Williams, 28, Fort Wayne, arrested for felony probation violation. No bond set.

• 2:39 p.m. Wednesday - South Ind. 25, 1,000 feet south of West CR 250S, Warsaw. Car hit curve sign and tree. Driver: Mary J. Wyatt, 68, West Old 30, Warsaw. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 6:19 p.m. Wednesday - Intersection of West Market and South Pine streets, Warsaw. Unknown vehicle and car collision; unknown vehicle left the scene. Remaining driver: Kayle N. Long, 19, North CR 350W, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

• 8:07 a.m. Thursday - East Old 30, 400 feet west of South CR 600E, Pierceton. SUV hit deer. Driver: Mark A. Slone, 63, East CR 150N, Pierceton. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 3:58 a.m. Thursday - A domestic complaint was reported in the 500 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.

• 9:37 a.m. Thursday - A warrant was served in the 600 block of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. WPD.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
