By Staff Report-

Janice Gaines, gospel singer, public speaker, teacher and mother of two children, will speak at the Warsaw Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Saturday.

The event is titled “A Christ-Centered Conversation on Race, Justice and Unity” and will be from 7 to 8 p.m. with a half-hour question-and-answer to follow, according to a provided news release.

Gaines will offer a Christ-centered talk  about race and its real effects in society and where we go from here. Gaines speaks on racial reconciliation from a faith perspective, teaching that each of us has a distance to travel wherever we are on our personal journey of relationship in a diverse society, stated the release.

Gaines conducts an occasional online course titled “Braving the Deep” that addresses racial issues from a biblical perspective.

Nine Warsaw folks took the course in 2020 and were looking for ways to reconnect with Gaines, stated the release. Bringing Gaines to Warsaw to speak seemed a way to continue relationship with Gaines and her message.

The event is jointly sponsored by Valley Springs Fellowship and Branches Vineyard Church.

The talk is free and open to the public.
