Claypool UMC To Hold Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will hold Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10.30 a.m. Sunday.

Pastor Nelson's sermon Sunday will be "The Pain."

A baby shower for Lucy and Adrain after church is planned; lunch will be served.

Call Kari Airgood if you plan on attending.

A devotion meeting will be held from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday.



Herron To Continue Giving The Message

MENTONE – The community is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. as Rev Jeff Herron continues the series,  “Winning the MINDCRAFT  War.”  

On Sunday after the worship service, the church will have its chili cook-off  and pie contest. Come and vote for your favorites.  After the meal, join the church for card games for the whole family. The proceeds go to support the 600 sack lunches the church will provide for the Community Soup Kitchen this year.   

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

On Wednesday nights, the church has its Feast & Fellowship program, which includes a light meal and a time of singing, worship and studying God’s word. It is held in the fellowship hall of the church. All middle school and high school youth are invited to enjoy the meal and worship and then break off for their own time of learning and fellowship.

The church also has a women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Java Jacks.

St. Anne’s Has Monthly Outreach Ministry

St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., Warsaw, has a monthly outreach ministry for organizations in the community. This month's focus is Fellowship Missions, the local homeless shelter. Parishioners donate items from a "needs list" provided by the Mission or contribute monetary donations. Items and funds will go to the Mission next month. This Sunday will be family game day and pizza after the the 10:15 a.m. service.

St. Anne's services are at 8 and 10:15 a.m. on Sundays at 424 W. Market St., Warsaw.

Beaver Dam To Hold Bible Study Group

AKRON – There's a men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone for Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron.  Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.  All are welcome.

Youth girls Bible study is "The Armor of God" by Priscilla Shirer on Saturdays at Kyle and Khrista's house. The junior high girls is held Saturday at 11 a.m. Coffee, doughnuts and cookies will be provided.

On Sunday, service times are at 9 a.m. and 10:31 a.m. with refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

The sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke. Bible study will be held at 6. Youth worship at Akron is from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

On Monday, a finance meeting will be at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, King's Kids Supper will be at 6 p.m. with music, crafts and a Bible lesson from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Open to potty-trained preschool age to fifth grade. There is no King's Kids if school is not in session.
