WINONA LAKE - A pair of Grace College track and field runners were named the NCCAA Track Athletes of the Week on Monday.

Logan Rufenacht and Heather Plastow swept the NCCAA’s track athletes of the week, capping off a strong weekend for the Lancers at the IWU Midwest Classic.

Plastow hit two NAIA standards, including an "A" mark in the distance medley relay with Kylie Sauder, Gracious O'Connor and Anna Hulstedt. Both the DMR (12:23.67) and the 1,000-meter run (3:01.74) time were school records in the meet.

Rufenacht set a school record and hit the NAIA “A” standard in the distance medley relay alongside Michael Williams, Isaac Beatty and Dimitri Margaritidis. He also hit the NAIA “A” standard in the 1,000.

The Lancers are in the midst of preparing for the postseason. The final three indoor events for Grace are all postseason competition, beginning with the NCCAA Indoor Championships this Friday and Saturday at Cedarville University.
