Born on March 24, 1946, in Prestonsburg, Ky., Betty was the daughter of Estill and Bessie Marsillett Hughes.
She retired from Chore-Time Brock Plastic Division in 2003. She was of the Pentecostal faith. Betty dearly loved her grandchildren and spending time with her daughter.
Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Lowell Collins, of Winona Lake; daughter, Paula (Todd) Haines, of Milford; son, Lowell K. Collins; grandchildren: Ryan Smythe, Erik (Tiara) Jarvis, Heidi (Grant) Haines, Eric Haines, Tyler Collins; siblings: Henry (Judy) Hughes, Glen (Linda) Hughes and Linda (Neal) Evans. She was preceded in passing by daughter, Tammy Collins; son, Charles “Dwayne” Jarvis; and six siblings.
A visitation is planned from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service in celebration of her life will begin at noon in the funeral chapel with her brother, Rev. Glen Hughes, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.
Masks are optional, and social distancing is encouraged. No food is permitted at this time.
