Editor, Times-Union:

The Leesburg Candelaria and Christmas party were especially beautiful this year, partly because of the nice weather, but mostly because of the work and contributions of our many volunteers and local businesses without whom this event could not take place every year.

Thank you to our Leesburg friends and neighbors who assemble the 1,500 luminarias; to Sue Charlton, Craig Charlton, Steve Allen, Helen Smoker, Kay Pylant, Mike Beezley, Mike Todd, Chet Stump, Brad and Amanda Bibler, Leesburg Mighty Farmers 4-H Club, Boy Scout Troop 729, Plain Township Fire Department and Everest Excavating.  Special thanks to our main sponsor Maple Leaf Farms, to Leesburg Sand and Gravel, and to the many other local businesses whose continued support allows us to continue this Christmas tradition.
