K21 Supports Ronald McDonald House & Mad Anthony’s Children’s Hope House

The grant to Mad Anthony’s Children’s Hope House is $10,000.
Mad Anthony’s Children’s Hope House exists to provide a peaceful, restful and hopeful home for families facing a sudden illness or injury of a child, according to a news release from K21. When the expense of an extended hotel stay is not possible, Children’s Hope House serves as a place of rest and rejuvenation. They provide a nightly stay, a warm meal and encouragement in their time of need.
The grant to Ronald McDonald House at Parkview Regional Medical Center is $5,000.
Ronald McDonald House at Parkview Regional Medical Center provides a home-away-from-home experience for the families of pediatric patients. The house offers daily and overnight accommodation, a large living space, a laundry room, a computer center and kitchen facilities. The Ronald McDonald House is open to families 365 days a year.
“We at K21 greatly admire the work that Ronald McDonald House and Mad Anthony’s Children’s Hope House are doing for families in our community,” said Rich Haddad, president and CEO of K21 Health Foundation. “We hope this will inspire other nonprofit organizations outside of Kosciusko County who benefit the health of our community to apply for a K21 grant; we want to help them make a difference.”
Ronald McDonald House and Children’s Hope House, despite being located outside of the county, directly impact and benefit residents of Kosciusko County, making them eligible candidates for a K21 grant, the release states.
