Girls Soccer

Tippecanoe Valley at Wawasee

SYRACUSE – Tippecanoe Valley and Wawasee girls soccer teams faced off in a very competitive match Tuesday, with neither team able to come out on top. The game ended in a 1-1 draw. The Lady Vikings record moves to 1-2-1 this fall, while the Warriors now sit at 0-2-3.

Wawasee jumped out to an early lead in the fifteenth minute as Nadia Whalen scored the opener. The score would remain 1-0 for the rest of the first half. In the 63rd minute, Valley senior captain Jessica Brito nailed a free kick from just outside the box to even the game at one apiece. Jetta Hughes made 15 saves in net for the Lady Vikings.

Wawasee hosts Concord Saturday while Tippy Valley takes on Elkhart Christian at home Monday.

Boys Tennis

Knox at Triton

BOURBON- Triton tennis battled hard but was unable to come away with a win against Knox Tuesday, falling 3-2.

Winning matches for Triton were No. 1 and No. 2 singles players Caden Large and Damon Kuntz. Large won 6-1, 6-0 while Kuntz took a 6-3, 6-2 victory. Triton faces off with LaVille Tuesday.

Peru at Manchester

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester was on the wrong side of a blowout Tuesday, as the team fell 5-0 to Three Rivers Conference foe Peru at home. The Squires will look to get into the win column Tuesday at Bluffton.
