Volleyball

Mishawaka at Triton

BOURBON – Triton volleyball suffered its first loss of the season Wednesday, falling 3-0 (15-25, 22-25, 19-25) at home to Mishawaka. The Trojans are now 1-1 this fall.

Addyson Viers led the team in kills with nine and tied for the team lead with one block. Three Triton players had eleven or more digs, led by Hannah Snyder’s 12. Snyder also led the team with seven assists.

The Trojans are back in action Monday when the team plays Rochester at home.

Plymouth at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley fell to below .500 Wednesday night, dropping its home game against Plymouth 3-0 (19-25, 21-25, 19-25). The Lady Vikings are now 1-2 this season.

Mackaylie Costello had six kills and four aces. Avery Wagoner was very busy, racking up 19 assists to lead Tippy Valley and 10 digs which was second on the team to Karli Houge.

The Lady Vikings will play their next game Monday against Goshen.

Boys Soccer

Metro Rage at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer continued its hot start to the season with a 4-2 victory over Metro Rage Wednesday night. The Vikings are now 2-0 this season.

Gio Arriaga continued to be in good form, scoring two more goals and adding an assist. Jonathan Ruiz added a goal and two assists. Carson Craft scored the fourth Valley goal.

The Vikings are back in action Tuesday to begin Three Rivers Conference play against defending conference champions Wabash.

Girls Soccer

Wawasee at West Noble

LIGONIER – Wawasee girls soccer is still searching for a result other than a tie after a 3-3 draw at West Noble Wednesday. The Warriors are now 0-0-2 this season.

Wawasee jumped out to an early lead, going up 3-1 before halftime. But the team was unable to hold on to the lead and had to settle for the tie. Next up for Wawasee is a game Saturday morning against Westview.

Manchester at Mississinewa

GAS CITY – Manchester is still looking to get into the win column for the first time this season, but the team showed progress in a 1-1 draw against Mississinewa Wednesday. The Lady Squires are now 0-1-1 this fall.

Aymia Miller scored the lone Manchester goal. Grace Smith saw six shots in goal, stopping five of them. Next up for the Lady Squires is a home game against Wawasee Tuesday.

Boys Tennis

Huntington North at Warsaw

WARSAW – In the first ever game at the new Warsaw tennis complex, the Tiger tennis team was able to christen its new facility with a 3-2 victory over Huntington North.

All three Tiger singles players won their respective matches. In No. 3 singles, Keller Bailey won a hard fought 7-5, 7-5 battle. Also winning in straight sets was No. 2 singles player Ted Grandon, who earned a 7-5, 6-1 victory.

Next up for Warsaw is a conference matchup with Mishawaka Thursday.

Lakeland at Wawasee

SYRACUSE – Wawasee earned another win on the young season Wednesday, defeating Lakeland 3-2 at home. The Warriors are now 2-0 this fall. Next up for Wawasee is a Tuesday matchup against Central Noble.
