Burket UMC To Have Basement Sale

BURKET – The Burket United Methodist Church, 102 S. Market St., Burket, will have its annual basement sale Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon. On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to noon, there will be a $1 a bag sale.



Claypool UMC To Have Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday

Devotions are every Wednesday from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.

Pastor Nelson's sermon is titled "Saul, Saul. Way.”

On May 6, there will be a baked steak dinner, dine-in and carry-out from 4 to 7 p.m.

Price are $10. Children under 6 eat free.



St. Anne’s To Be At One Warsaw

St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., Warsaw, will have a booth at the One Warsaw celebration Saturday around the courthouse from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be music, food and handouts.

Normal service times are Sundays at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Services are livestreamed on Facebook on the public St. Anne's page (St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Warsaw IN). They are also available the following day on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXDQgZpgyvkbcBEdwDBLMrw/videos.



National Day Of Prayer To Be May 5

The National Day of Prayer event for Kosciusko County will rom noon to 1 p.m. May 5 at the Winona Heritage Room, formerly Rodeheaver Auditorium, 901 Park Ave., Winona Lake.  Melissa Montana, of Star 88.3 in Fort Wayne, will be the keynote speaker.  

An evening service will be broadcast at 7 p.m. on WIOE radio (101.1 FM, 104.3 FM, and 1450 AM), http://wioe.com/fumc.shtml, http://facebook.com/KosciuskoNDP and the group’s YouTube site.

It is hosted by the National Day of Prayer Committee of Kosciusko County and the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association.



Beaver Dam Announces Service Times

AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

On Saturday, Wheels on Fire 7th Annual "Clays for Cancer" is at the Fulton County Gun Club at 10 a.m. Junior high girls Bible study will be at Kyle and Khrista's house at 11 a.m.

Registration has begun for VBS at Beaver Dam UMC, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron: "Making Waves in the World with Jesus" from June 20 to 24. Open to potty-trained 3-year-old to fifth grade. The youth will be helping again this year. You must preregister by June 13 at https://form.123formbuilder.com/1350476/form.

On Sunday, service times are 9 and 10:31 a.m. with refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

Sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke. Music team meeting will be after the second service. Youth Worship at Akron is 6 to 7:30 p.m. Bible study is at 6 p.m.

On Monday, the 4-H Club meeting is at 7 p.m.  

On Wednesday, youth group is at Akron from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

On May 6 and 7, the  NEVER2YOUNG event is for junior high youth at Indiana Wesleyan. the group is leaving from Akron Friday at 4:45 p.m. and returning around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.  

On May 7, the Lakeside Committee meeting is at 9 a.m. at the church.
