Herron To Present Message

MENTONE – The public is invited to join Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. on Holy Humor Sunday, as Rev. Jeff Herron presents the message “Celebrate Jesus” Psalms 126:2-3.

The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church will offer Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.

 On Wednesday nights, the church has its Feast & Fellowship program, which includes a light meal and a time of singing, worship and studying God’s word. It is held in the fellowship hall of the church. All middle school and high school youth are invited to enjoy the meal and worship and then break off for their own time of learning and fellowship.

There is also a women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. Wednesdays at Java Jacks.

 Come and be a part of the “She Shoes” walking group. The group meets at 9 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (weather permitting) at the Mentone Cemetery (by the bridge).  All speed of walkers are welcome.

Beaver Dam UMC Announces Service Times This Week

AKRON – There's a communitywide men's Bible study group meeting on Saturday mornings at Java Jacks in Mentone. Men from several area churches are participating and all are welcome. Breakfast is at 8 a.m. and the study starts at 9 a.m.

Registration has begun for VBS at Beaver Dam United Methodist Church, 9798 W. CR 1000S, Akron: "Making Waves in the World with Jesus" from June 20 -24. It is open to potty-trained 3-year-old to fifth grade. The youth will be helping again this year.

You must preregister by June 13 at https://form.123formbuilder.com/1350476/form.

On Sunday, service times are 9 and 10:31 a.m. with refreshments served from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

The sermon is by Pastor Butch Troke.  It is Birthday Sunday. 

Carry-in and youth meeting is after second service until 1:30 p.m. Bible study is at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, senior high girls Bible study is at Kyle and Khrista's house from 7 to 8:15 p.m.   

On Wednesday, youth group at Akron from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

On April 30, the Wheels on Fire 7th Annual "Clays for Cancer" is at the Fulton Co. Gun Club at 10 a.m.  Junior high girls Bible study is at Kyle and Khrista's house at 11 a.m.



Claypool UMC To Have Sunday School

CLAYPOOL – Claypool United Methodist Church, 302 E. Section St., Claypool, will have Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. and church services at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Pastor Nelson is having Humor Sunday. Come with a  humorous story or a joke, or several.

Devotions are every Wednesday from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m.



Burket UMC To Have Basement

Sale April 29 And 30

BURKET – Burket United Methodist Church will have its annual basement sale April 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and April 30 from 8 a.m. until noon. From 11 a.m. to noon April 30, there will be a $1 bag sale. All proceeds go to missions.



Otterbein To Celebrate Anniversary

ATWOOD – On May 1, Otterbein United Methodist Church, 306 E. Main St., Atwood, will  celebrate its 95th anniversary as part of their Heritage Day events. The morning service begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by lunch in the fellowship hall.

Pastor David Banning and members of the congregation invite the public to the celebration that will include historical exhibits of photos and church memorabilia from years past. Recent updates made in the church sanctuary might also be of interest.  Previous pastors, friends and previous members of the congregation are encouraged to attend to renew friendships and for fellowship, fun and food.

St. Anne’s Episcopal Church

To Have Ukraine Remembrance

On Sunday, St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market St., Warsaw, will offer a time of prayer and music to remember the people of Ukraine. The service will begin at 2 p.m. Parking is across from the church. The service will include songs, prayers, readings and meditations. All are welcome.

Normal service times are Sundays at 8 and 10:15 a.m. Services are livestreamed on Facebook on the public St. Anne's page (St. Anne's Episcopal Church in Warsaw IN). They are also available the following day on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXDQgZpgyvkbcBEdwDBLMrw/videos.
