MENTONE – Chad Patrick, the Tippecanoe Valley High School varsity boys basketball coach, will not be the varsity coach next school year, as the Tippecanoe Valley School Board voted not to renew his contract Monday.

A statement provided after the Board meeting said the Board, acting upon Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation Superintendent Blaine Conley’s recommendation, voted for the non-renewal of Patrick’s contract for the 2022-23 season. The program had compiled a 50-68 overall record over the past five seasons with a record of 21-25 in the Three Rivers Conference.

TVSC cites a “long-term vision, program building and success of our student-athletes as priorities moving forward.”

There were no comments from the public and no discussion from Board members on the matter during the Board meeting Monday.

The position is currently posted on the school corporation’s website to be filled.
