He was born on Dec. 13, 1948, in Indianapolis, to Willard and Alice Pinkerton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Dana Corp. and also operated Pinkerton’s General Contracting. He was a member and Past Commander of the North Webster American Legion. Doug also served on the North Webster Tippecanoe Township Fire Department for several years.
Doug is survived by his son, Joe (Jeanette) Pinkerton; grandchildren: Chelsea Marie Pinkerton and Dalton Pinkerton; sister, Sandy (Roger) Hamilton.
There will be a celebration of life at the North Webster American Legion Post 253. Family and friends may gather at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 16. Ceremony will start at 3 p.m. with the American Legion walk-through.
Memorials contribution can be made to The North Webster American Legion Post 253.
