LEESBURG – The Power of Pink champagne brunch will be Oct. 10 at Tippecanoe Lake Country Club, Leesburg.

The event starts at 11 a.m. and includes food, champagne and a designer purse auction. The attire is pink.

Julee Rauch serves on the fundraising committee for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund. “We are wearing pink but supporting all cancers,” she said.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. This is the first year for this fundraiser. Rauch said she hopes the brunch will be an annual event.

So far, five designer purses will be auctioned off. Accessories such as wallets will also be available. Volunteers will also be modeling the purses and accessories, said Rauch.

Food includes a three-course lunch with salad, quiche, shrimp, pink sorbet and pink champagne.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund. The fund focuses its mission on reducing the challenges facing Kosciusko County cancer patients and their families by financially assisting them during their fight.

The cost of the brunch is $60. RSVP by Oct. 1. For more information about the fund and to register, visit www.cancercarefundkc.org/powerofpink.html.

For additional information, call Rauch at 815-263-8819 or email her at [email protected].
