Warsaw Boys Soccer Falls To Homestead

FORT WAYNE – Warsaw boys soccer dropped a close game to Homestead Wednesday 2-1. The Tigers are still 5-2 in their last seven games, as the team’s record falls to 9-4-1.

It was a defensive battle for most of the game. Homestead was able to net the only goal of the first half and took a lead into the locker room. Both teams were able to score in the second half of play, but Warsaw could only manage the one goal, giving the Spartans the victory.

The Tigers play their next contest Thursday against Goshen.

Tippecanoe Valley Soccer Defeated By Rochester

ROCHESTER – Tippecanoe Valley boys soccer ran into a buzz saw Wednesday night when the team traveled to Rochester to take on the Zebras. The Vikings were defeated 6-1, bringing their record to 3-6-1 this fall.

Rochester was able to net four goals in the first half of the game, and added two more in the second half as the Zebras cruised to victory. The lone Viking goal came with about 21 minutes left in the game, when Jon Ruiz netted a penalty kick.

Tippy Valley plays its next game against Peru Thursday.

Wawasee Boys Soccer Ties Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY – Wawasee boys soccer played an exciting back and forth game against Columbia City Wednesday, resulting in a 1-1 tie. The Warriors record moves to 4-1-6 this season.

Columbia City was able to take the lead early in this one after Wawasee deflected an own goal into the net. The Warriors kept fighting though, and were able to score a penalty off of the foot of Mason Possey with 44 seconds left to tie the game.

Wawasee plays its next game Tuesday against Goshen.

Tippecanoe Valley Boys Tennis Loses To Maconaquah

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley boys tennis was defeated in sound fashion by Maconaquah Wednesday, dropping the match 5-0. The Vikings record now sits at 8-10.

Maconaquah won all five matches in straight sets. Wyatt Reiter put up a good fight in his singles match, but was unable to get the win, falling 4-6, 4-6.

Tippy Valley will try to get back in the win column next Thursday against Manchester.

Wawasee Boys Tennis Defeats Warsaw

SYRACUSE – Wawasee boys tennis defeated Warsaw Wednesday in a continuation of Tuesday’s match that was postponed due to weather. The Warriors move their record to 9-7.

Warsaw was able to take two of the three singles matches, with Will Boren and Keller Bailey each winning in straight sets. The difference in the contest came in the doubles portion of the competition, where Wawasee won both matches and the contest. The duos of Holden Babb/Grant Brooks and Devon Kuhn/ Ty Brooks both won in straight sets to secure the win.

Wawasee plays its next match Thursday against Mishawaka.

Whitko Boys Tennis Takes Down Central Noble

ALBION – Whitko boys tennis picked up a victory against Central Noble Tuesday night 4-1. It was a dominant performance from the Wildcats.

Whitko swept the singles portion of the competition. David Ousley was perfect in his match, winning both of his games 6-0, 6-0. Blake Schroeder wasn’t too far behind, winning his match 6-0, 6-1.
