Mentone UMC To Hold Celebration Sunday

MENTONE – The community is invited to Mentone United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St.,  Mentone, on Sunday at 10:15 a.m. for its “Reunite – Ignite” Celebration Sunday.  

The church has a worship service planned with music by Liz Bannister and the message “Different To Make A Difference” by Rev. Jeff Herron, followed by a catered lunch along with crafts and games for the children, bingo and the church’s first Annual Amateur Cornhole Tournament. The church offers an early bird adult Sunday school class at 8:45 a.m. At 10:15 a.m., along with worship service, the church offers Sunday Bible school for children ages 5 through fifth grade and Wee Kids Worship for ages newborn to 4 years old.  

On Wednesday nights, the church has its Feast & Fellowship program, which includes a meal and a time of singing, worship and studying God’s word. It is held in the fellowship hall of the church.  All middle school and high school youth are invited to enjoy the meal and worship and then break off for their own time of learning and fellowship. The church also has a Women’s Bible study at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays at Java Jacks.

Mentone UMC will be having Trunk-and-Treat in front of the church on Oct. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.
