Manchester Girls soccer Wins Sectional Match Over Blackford

WABASH – Manchester girls soccer won a thrilling sectional match against Blackford in a shootout Thursday, 2-2 (7-6). Manchester advances to the next round of the sectional playoff, and are 3-9-2 this season.

The Lady Squires took an early lead in the game before Blackford tied it up in the second half. The game went into double overtime, where both teams scored another goal, forcing the shootout.  Ella Clifford, London Spangle and Campbell Bolinger all found the back of the net for Manchester.

Next up for the Lady Squires is a matchup with Wabash Saturday.



Tippecanoe Valley Girls Soccer Drops Sectional Match

FORT WAYNE – Tippecanoe Valley girls soccer had its season ended by Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Thursday, losing in the first round of sectional play 8-0. The Lady Vikings end their inaugural season with a 1-10 record.



Lakeland Christian Girls Soccer Falls In Sectional Match

TOPEKA, Ind. – Lakeland Christian girls soccer lost its opening match in their sectional bracket to Lakewood Park Christian Thursday, falling 4-1. The Cougars finish their season with a 3-10 record.

The lone Lakeland Christian goal was scored by Lauren Grose. The Cougars will return to action next season.



Warsaw Volleyball Defeats Concord

ELKHART – Warsaw volleyball secured a win in its final conference game of the season, defeating Concord  25-17, 25-18, 25-21. The Tigers finish the regular season with an 18-13 record, 6-1 in the NLC. Warsaw finishes second in the conference, trailing only NorthWood.

Kylie Smith led the team with seven aces and nine digs. Kaylee Weeks had team-highs in both kills (11) and blocks (2). Avery Hales had 30 assists.

Next up for Warsaw is a sectional match up with Elkhart Thursday.



Manchester Volleyball Falls To Blackhawk Christian

NORTH MANCHESTER – Manchester volleyball dropped its Senior Night game to Blackhawk Christian Thursday, falling in straight sets 17-25, 18-25, 17-25. The Lady Squires are now 5-18 this season.

Aliala Atienza had nine digs, the most on the team. Paxton Baker had 17 assists. Olivia Auler’s eight kills led Manchester.

The Lady Squires wrap up regular season play Saturday at the Clinton Prairie Invitational.



Whitko Volleyball Drops Match To Rochester

ROCHESTER – Whitko volleyball wrapped up conference play with a loss to Rochester Thursday, falling 25-13, 15-25, 10-25, 15-25. The Lady ‘Cats are now 9-18 this season, and finish 8th place in the Three Rivers conference with a 2-7 record.

Audra Brandenburg had eight kills and two blocks, both the most on the team. Reese Bradford contributed 15 assists. Katelyn Cripe had ten digs and three aces.

Whitko wraps up regular season play with its home invite.



Wawasee Volleyball Falls To NorthWood

SYRACUSE – Wawasee volleyball ended conference play with a loss Thursday, falling in straight sets, 21-25, 20-25, 23-25. Wawasee finishes its regular season with a 21-10 record, 1-6 in the Northern Lakes Conference and in 7th place.

Dylan Konieczny had 13 kills, a team-high. She also had four blocks to lead the team. Emma Young had 17 assists, and Liz Miller had 18 digs.

Next up for the Warriors is a rematch with NorthWood next Saturday in sectional play.



Tippecanoe Valley Volleyball Drops Match To Southwood

AKRON – Tippecanoe Valley volleyball wrapped up its season with a loss to Southwood Thursday, falling in straight sets 23-25, 7-25, 17-25. The Lady Vikings finish the regular season with an 18-10 record, finishing 3rd place in the TRC after going 7-2 in conference play.

Mallory Durkes led the team with seven kills. Brayden Baney had four aces as well as 28 digs. Macy Kirchenstein led the team with eleven assists.

Next up for Tippy Valley is sectional play against West Noble Thursday.



Triton Volleyball Defeats South Central

UNION MILLS – Triton volleyball capped off its regular season with a win Thursday, defeating South Central in straight sets 25-20, 25-14, 25-17. The Trojans finish the regular season with a 20-11 record.

Addyson Viers finished the match with 14 kills and three blocks. Maddie Doll had four aces and 22 assists. Three Trojans finished the match with eleven digs.

Next up for Triton is a match against LaCrosse to begin sectional play.
