FORT WAYNE – Manchester boys soccer had its season ended Culver Academies Tuesday, losing their opening match of the sectional tournament 3-1. The Squires finish the season at 9-6.
Culver took the lead in the first half, and went into the locker room with a 1-0 advantage. Manchester’s lone goal came in the second half, off of the boot of senior Owen Kruchwitz, who was one of the Squires best players and leaders all season long.
Manchester will return next season,
Wawasee Girls Soccer Falls In Sectional To DeKalb
LIGONIER – Wawasee girls soccer was eliminated from the state tournament Tuesday after losing 7-1 to DeKalb in the sectional round. The Warriors finish their season with a 1-13-2 record.
Nicole Beer scored the lone Wawasee goal. “ The girls played hard this season and it’s never fun ending it this way, but we continue to show good signs of improvement,” head coach Luis Camargo said.
Wawasee will return next season.
Wawasee’s Brooks & Babb Fall In Regionals
CULVER – Wawasee’s No. 1 singles pairing Grant Brooks and Holden Babb were defeated in their first match at the state regional tournament at Culver Tuesday. The duo lost their match against Plymouth’s No. 1 doubles pairing.
Wawasee was eliminated from advancing as a team last Saturday, losing the sectional final to Columbia City. Both Brooks and Babb are seniors and will be graduating in the spring.
Tippecanoe Valley Volleyball Defeats Rochester
ROCHESTER – Tippecanoe Valley volleyball picked up a four-set victory over Rochester Tuesday night, winning 25-19, 25-23, 19-25, 25-21. The Lady Vikings are now 18-9 this season, 7-1 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Mallory Durkes had a team-high 13 kills. She also had three aces, the second most on the team behind three Lady Vikings who had four. Brayden Baney led the team with 18 digs, and Macy Kirchenstein had a team-high 31 assists.
Tippy Valley wraps up conference play against Southwood Thursday.
Wawasee Volleyball Defeats West Noble
LIGONIER – Wawasee volleyball defeated West Noble in four sets Tuesday, winning 16-25, 25-19, 25-23, 25-16. The Warriors are now 21-9 this season.
Kai Jamora had a team-high three aces, as well as leading the team with 24 assists. Dylan Konieczny had 17 kills, the most on the team. Amber Beer had four blocks, and Leslie Vazquez had 12 digs.
Wawasee plays its next game Thursday, the team’s Pink Out game against NorthWood.

WABASH – Manchester volleyball wrapped up conference play with a straight set loss to Wabash, falling 14-25, 22-25, 17-25. The Lady Squires are now 5-17 this season, and finish 1-8 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Both Olivia Auler and Blake Drasny both had seven kills. Paxton Baker had three aces, as well as 19 assists. Aliala Atienza had 17 digs.
Manchester wraps up its season Thursday against Blackhawk Christian at home for Senior Night.
Triton Volleyball Drops Match To Caston
FULTON – Triton volleyball wrapped up conference play with a loss against Caston Tuesday, falling in five sets 19-25, 25-20, 26-24, 11-25, 8-25. The Trojans are 19-11 on the season, and finish 5-2 in the Hoosier North.
Triton plays its next game against South Central Thursday.
