He was born in Tennessee on Jan. 27, 1945, the son of Leonard and Veda Goad. Woody worked at Dalton Foundry for many years until his retirement. He served our country in the United States Army.
Woody was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #49. While there, he enjoyed playing cards with his friends and shooting pool. He also was an avid hunter and loved to play golf.
Woody will be deeply missed by his sons: Marc (Elizabeth) Greene and LeRoy (Zola) Greene; siblings: Genoa Goad, Pete Goad, and Eulonda; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is further survived by many extended family member and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Hoite Goad; and grandson, Logan Greene.
Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family. Friends and family may gather for a Life Celebration® on Friday, Dec. 3 from 1 until 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post #49, 301 N. Buffalo St., Warsaw.
