• 3:50 p.m. Sunday - Jerald Jerome Womack, 59, of 601 W. Prairie St., Warsaw, arrested on two charges of being an habitual traffic violator. Bond: $10,500.

• 12:20 p.m. Monday - Samantha Marie Wenger, 23, Fort Wayne, arrested for misdemeanor failure to appear. No bond set.

• 7:33 p.m. Sunday - South Ind. 13, 500 feet south of East CR 600S, Warsaw. Car hit deer. Driver: Star A. Powell, 35, East U.S. 30, Pierceton. Injury: Powell complained of neck pain.  Damage: $5,000-$10,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated.

• 4:48 a.m. Sunday - North Zimmer Road, 500 feet south of South Zimmer Road, Warsaw. Rear wheel and tire disengaged from pickup. Driver: Matthew B. Hayes, 27, Rochester. Damage: $10,000-$25,000. KCSO.

• 7:47 a.m. Sunday - North CR 1000E, 1,500 feet south of East CR 1350N, Cromwell. SUV went into ditch. Driver: Jacob D. Black, 19, South Kitson Drive, Syracuse. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 10:54 a.m. Sunday - West U.S. 30, 1,500 feet west of North CR 950W, Etna Green. Car went into ditch and hit fence. Driver: James M. Carney, 31, Fort Wayne. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. KCSO.

• 6:16 p.m. Sunday - North CR 400E, 300 feet north of East CR 300N, Warsaw. Pickup hit deer. Driver: Matthew S. Dausman, 46, East CR 550N, Leesburg. Damage: $1,000-$2,500. KCSO.

• 3:14 a.m. Monday - Ind. 13, 100 feet south of Nash Drive, Syracuse. SUV hit deer. Driver: Travis L. Reiff, 37, Columbia City. Damage: $5,000-$10,000. SPD.

• 3:51 a.m. Monday - North Ind. 13, 100 feet south of EMS B21 Lane, Pierceton. Car hit deer. Driver: Michael J. Sytnik, 35, Clinic Court, Warsaw. Damage: $2,500-$5,000. KCSO.

• 10:25 p.m. Saturday - Merchandise and surveillance footage were reported stolen from Walmart in the 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. WPD.

• 12:15 a.m. Sunday - An emergency detention order was requested in the 3800 block of South Elaine Drive, Warsaw. KCSO.

Get To Know The Team: Warsaw Captains Q&A
Earlier this week, I had the privilege of going to a Warsaw football practice and speaking with four of the team’s five captains. With so much having been written in recent weeks about their performance on the field, and rightfully so, I wanted to peel back the curtain a bit and ask them some questions about themselves.
