    The Town of Claypool is applying for a construction grant to the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) Wastewater/Drinking Water (WOW) Program. The Town needs these funds to help improve their wastewater treatment facility. The Town of Claypool is holding a public hearing on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at 6 PM at the Claypool Town Hall (408 5. Graceland Avenue, Claypool,IN

46510) to provide residents an opportunity to share their input on this federally  assisted project to improve the wastewater treatment facility and express their issues or needs related with the drinking water and/or wastewater services.

    If awarded,this grant of up to $700,000 will fund necessary improvements to the Town's wastewater treatment facility  to keep the Town in compliance with  environmental regulations. This grant and the wastewater treatment facility enhancements  will benefit the households of Claypool, 54.9 percent of whom are low to moderate income  households. The Town of Claypool will be committing at least 20 percent for their  local match  amount  provided from a grant received through the K21Health Foundation. This construction project will not cause the displacement of any persons or businesses.

    Claypool res idents are encouraged to provide  their input regarding the issues they experience either at the public hearing or submit a written statement prior to the public hearing. Accommodations for individuals  with disabilities or with  limit ed English proficiency can be requested at the contact information below. Warsaw Gets Past Goshen On Penalty Kicks, Advances
A September match between the Warsaw and Goshen girls soccer teams resulted in a 1-1 tie after a hard-fought match. Tuesday night, the two teams met for a second time on a much bigger stage: the opening round of the 3A girls soccer sectional tournament at Elkhart High School. With a winner having to emerge this time around, it came down to penalty kicks, with the Lady Tigers winning 5-3 after a 0-0 tie.
