She was born on July 30, 1952, in Wabash, to Charles Oliver and Loretta Ann French Evans.
She graduated in 1970 from Manchester High School in North Manchester, received her CNA degree and lived most of her life in the Silver Lake area. She was married on March 27, 1970, in North Manchester, to David William “Dave” Reed, who survives. She retired from nursing after 23 years. She formerly worked at Lake City Place Assisted Living in Warsaw, Health Force of Indiana in Warsaw, Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester and Silver Inn in Silver Lake.
She is survived by husband, Dave Reed, of Silver Lake; daughter, Stacey Sue McGowan, of Claypool; son, Scott David (Karen) Reed, of Warsaw; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Roger) Marshall, of North Manchester; brother, Neal (Linda) Evans, of Silver Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: Terry and Tim Evans.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19 at South Pleasant United Methodist Church, 5064 W. 1400N, Silver Lake. Cremation will follow at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw. Private burial will take place in the Germantown Cemetery near Silver Lake at a later date.
